About Us
Adelaide Senior Driver and Health Association (ASDHA) is a not-for-profit community organisation based in South Australia. We are dedicated to promoting road safety, lifelong mobility, and healthy living among senior drivers, particularly those with overseas driving experience or from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Our Mission
To empower older adults in South Australia to stay confident, informed, and safe behind the wheel — while promoting healthy, independent lifestyles through education and community connection.
What We Do
- Senior Driver Awareness Programs
We offer workshops and refresher lessons that cover South Australian road rules, hazard awareness, and defensive driving strategies for seniors aged 60+. - Overseas Licence Transition Support
We assist senior migrants in understanding local licensing systems, including online learning resources and bilingual instruction. - Health & Mobility Education
In collaboration with healthcare professionals, we provide sessions on physical and cognitive health for safe driving and independent living. - Multilingual Resources
Our materials are available in English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. We are also working toward providing selected content in Vietnamese, Arabic, and Punjabi to better support South Australia’s diverse senior communities and their families. - Instructor Training
We offer a Certificate of Completion: Senior Driver Awareness Instructor Course to help driving instructors and health workers better support the senior community.
